We are truly thankful for your unwavering support and generosity, which enable us to transform the lives of many underprivileged children. Bangalore is often seen as a hub of progress, but beneath that image are countless slums where families struggle with poor health, limited schooling, and the danger of abuse. Blessing Home is dedicated to rescuing children from those circumstances and giving them a safe, loving place to heal and grow.

We currently care for 22 children in the Home, ensuring quality education in English-medium schools, important life skills, and spiritual care. Our goal is to walk with them until they finish their degrees and step into a dignified future. Beside the Home, our Family Support program in Bangalore and KGF helps more poor families with monthly provisions and school fees. We also support 46 underprivileged children in KGF and Bangalore by paying their school fees.

Each of our students graduates with distinction and secures a promising future — but paying fees at the start of every academic year remains a challenge. We rely entirely on God and the generosity of people like you. Read a few of their stories below, and in our March 2025 newsletter.

God has always been faithful. We entrust our future to Him as well, because surely His mercies are new every morning.

Shyla’s Story: Child Laborer to Star Student

Both of Shyla’s parents were construction workers in Bangalore, so Shyla grew up working on a construction site as a child laborer. One passerby saw her and thought it was not safe for her. He sought the best home in Bangalore, found the Blessing Home, and brought her to the Home. When she first arrived, she didn’t understand any of the languages at the Home. As her performance and understanding increased, she was put in better and better schools. She always had the desire to study hard and come up in life. With the support of Blessing Home she studied diligently, passed her B.Com. with distinction, and secured a job with an American company. Today she is pursuing higher studies in Financial Management in the United Kingdom.

Revathi’s Journey: From Mute Child to Passionate Teacher

From the age of 5, Revathi was left on her own on the streets by her alcoholic parents. Prema Aunty was working as a social worker in that slum, and she regularly gave Revathi clothes, bathed her, and bring her to the day care center. Revathi was covered in scabs and skin infections, and could not speak. One day Revathi was on her death bed, suffering from measles. Even then her parents did not care for her. With their permission, Prema Aunty admitted Revathi into the hospital. She received treatment and was healed. From then onwards, Prema Aunty took care of Revathi, as both parents had rejected her. At the age of 6, after much prayer, Revathi began to speak. She was put in the school, and joined the Blessing Home when Prema Aunty opened it in 2003. Revathi worked very hard to pick up her studies in English medium school. She completed her schooling, and in 2017 completed her B.A. in first class. Upon completion of her B.A., she stayed at Blessing Home and helped around the Home, assisting in the office and taking care of children. She went on to study for her B.Ed. (Bachelors of Education). Her passion is to help children by teaching them social studies, especially those who are really struggling in their studies.

Nandini’s Testimony

Dear Friends,

I am Nandini Rachael. It is a joy to share to you what the Lord has done in my life through Blessing Home. It’s a dream come true for me because I’m the first one in my entire family to hold a bachelor’s degree. Before coming to Blessing Home, there was no hope, no meaning in life and no safe environment. But after coming to Blessing Home, it was totally a different world for me, always spending in prayer, very safe environment and loving people to take care of us. I thank the Almighty for choosing me from that poverty-stricken family to stand as a living testimony for his glory. Now I’m leading a dignified life in the society and working for a good company. If I’m leading a blessed life, it’s all because of the efforts, commitment and sacrifice of people who have invested in my life. I would support Blessing Home in whatever ways possible. And God has given me so many blessing, I would like to give back my blessings to the home and ever be grateful all through my life. Blessing Home, thank you so much for investing in my life. When I came to Blessing Home in 2003, I walked in as nothing but today God has blessed me so much. And I know that I will bear fruits for his kingdom alone. I thank and praise God for each and everyone who guided my path. I’m excited and overwhelmed to tell you that I passed my bachelor’s in distinction and was also awarded academy topper.

Ezekiel’s Testimony

Blessing Home has been a very great blessing in my life. When I came to Blessing Home, I came without anything and no hope, not knowing what to do in my life. When all my family members and own parents left me on the streets, we really did not know what was going to happen to our future. I came to Blessing Home with the help of a social worker at the age of 9.

When I came to this Home, I found that it is a loving and caring Home. It was like a strong tower for me. I got an opportunity to study in an English medium school. It is really a great challenge with other children. As I was growing, my life changed totally, I got an opportunity to mingle with dignified people in the society. I gained a strong will power to study and come up in my life. Blessing Home has provided everything for me. From 10th std., I got through in first class. In PUC, I got through with distinction, I completed my B.Com last year with very good marks. Because of my good performance, I got an opportunity to work in Great West Global Services Pvt Ltd. Now I am very well able to stand on my own feet.

I am very thankful to Blessing Home for the valuable contribution it is in my life. Now I am full of confidence and courage to face the outside world. I thank God for all the people who played such important roles in my life, especially Prema Amma.

Aruna: From Shadows to Spotlight

Aruna faced many challenges after losing her father at a young age. Her mother worked as a cook and did her best to support the family but struggled to meet even their basic needs. Despite these hardships, Aruna dreamed of a better future and had a strong desire to study. Blessing Home provided her the opportunity to study in good schools and follow her dreams. Through hard work and determination, she completed her B.Ed. degree, securing the first rank in her college. She now teaches at one of the top schools in Indonesia.

Diana’s Journey

Diana came to Blessing Home when she was five, an orphan battling a mysterious heart condition that caused her heartbeat to fluctuate without reason. Even doctors were unable to identify the cause of her illness. Despite these challenges, Blessing Home provided her with medical care, education, and a loving family. Through the prayers and support of donors, Diana’s life has been transformed. Today she lives as a beacon of hope, inspiring others with her resilience and faith.

Akash: Hearing — Dream Unfold

Akash, a 9-year-old boy, faced challenges with speech and hearing from an early age. Despite his difficulties, he showed incredible talent and a keen interest in electronics. He taught himself by watching YouTube and even created several electronic projects. Recognizing his potential, Blessing Home provided the support he needed. He was taken to a hospital, received a hearing aid, and was later enrolled in a special school offering quality education alongside speech and hearing therapy. Today Akash is thriving, and the smile on his face reflects the transformation in his life.

Niranjan Babu

Niranjan Babu faced significant challenges in his education and daily life because of an eye problem. With compassionate care and support from Blessing Home, he received the medical treatment needed to restore his vision. With his eyesight regained, he was able to concentrate on his studies and take full advantage of new opportunities.

Making Memories

Many of these children have never had the experiences their friends enjoy, such as family trips or birthday celebrations. To provide them with such opportunities, we took them to Coonoor for a three-day camp, giving them a chance to enjoy a stay-out experience in a beautiful setting. We also celebrate their birthdays, ensuring they don’t feel forgotten or alone. These moments are meant to show them that they are loved and valued.

Family Support Beyond the Home

Blessing Home also walks with families in need. We support 46 underprivileged children in KGF and Bangalore by paying school fees, and on visits we have given books, notebooks, school bags, stationery, and water bottles. We have helped Muthu, a blind man, and his elderly mother in KGF with monthly provisions so they have enough food each day. We also helped Prabhakar, a diabetic patient from KGF with severe eye problems who had lost work. Blessing Home gave his family two goats to generate income, offered monthly provisions, covered the cost of his eye surgery, and provided scholarships so his children could continue their education. His sight was restored, and the family is living with more dignity and hope.
